Lincoln Park, Michigan is a city found in Wayne County. Located south of Detroit, Lincoln Park is situated in an area known as Downriver. According to the 2010 United State Census, Lincoln Park has a population of about 38,000 residents. Lincoln Park was organized as a settlement in 1921 and reorganized as a city in 1925. The Potawatomi Indians were the original inhabitants of the area. The city developed as a suburb for individuals who worked in the nearby mills and automobile plants of the Detroit area to reside in.
