Located about 60 miles south of Detroit, Lambertville is a Monroe County community with a population of about 9,900 residents according to the 2010 United States Census. The community is located entirely within the township of Bedford, Michigan. The Lambertville post office opened in 1834 and was originally known as the West Erie post office. The named was changed in 1836 and Lambertville was platted in 1888. The community is named in honor of John Lambert, who originally purchased the land on which the community sits.

Individuals will not find a lack of things to see and do in the area surrounding Lambertville. The Monroe County Historical Museum houses artifacts and exhibits that tell the rich history of the county in which Lambertville is located. Sterling State Park, located on the shores of Lake Erie, provides residents of the community many exciting outdoor opportunities such as biking, swimming, fishing, and boating. Several festivals and events take place within a short distance of the community. The May Fly Festival, the River Raisin Jazz Festival, and the Monroe County Fair are just a few.
