About Carleton, MI - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Carleton is a small agrarian community about ten miles north of Monroe, Michigan. It contains several small businesses and eateries and it is an ideal commuter town for those who desire a country way of life while working and making the big city money. The population is around 3,000 inhabitants. So, it’s sleepy and quiet but lovely and charming to create the perfect combination of hometown feel and big city convenience.  The seasonal weather does mean that commuters will want to be aware of weather conditions throughout the year.  But, locals are accustomed to hot summers and cold winters.  And, they know how to deal with weather changes.  So, for anyone who works in Detroit or Toledo but, maybe, wants a farm, as well. this is an amazing place to live.

The town was started Daniel Matthews, land developer, selected this site as home for an inn- the Matthews House.  Over time, a town grew around it.   It was later developed as a post on the Toledo, Ann Arbor & Northern Michigan Railroad. At that time, the town was renamed.  It was named after Will Carleton, a popular Michigan writer.   Though the town was certainly never built to be a bustling city center, it was built with great pride and locals love their homes, their lands and their town.

This humble beginning gave way to a similarly humble present day.  But the present day humble beauty of this town is in no way outdated.  It is merely respectful of its past while looking toward the future.   Watch the seasons change over the farmland and fields and enjoy the best that Michigan has to offer.  Then, head into work in a larger city.  It is also great for those who are running farms and wish to sell produce in the more metropolitan areas.
