Canton is a city located in southeastern Michigan. The charter township is located in Wayne County and is about 8 miles west of Detroit and 8 miles east of Ann Arbor. The township had a population of about 90,000 people according to the 2010 United States Census. Canton is Michigan’s second largest township. In 1834, the township was formed by an act of the Michigan Territorial Legislature.

There are many things to see and do in Canton. The township is home to a sports center, a beautiful dog park, two scenic golf courses, numerous parks and trails, and much more.
